Cinematographer, teacher
At the Cinematography Department, Josef Špelda focuses on light in film and television work. He gives lectures and conducts seminars teaching students the basic principles of creating various lighting atmospheres in the studio, exterior and outdoors, and the resulting light structures.
Josef Špelda was born in Třebíč in 1940. Since graduating from the Cinematography Department at FAMU in 1965, he has worked in Czechoslovak Television as a cameraman. In his career, he has worked in various genres, but his most significant achievements have been in the field of drama. He has made several major TV and feature films.
